Wall sculptures by Michala Brincker
I create my wall art sculptures by using mixed media like photos, paintings, line drawings and by using a digital drawing pen & computer filters. I put shadows behind the elements in my art, which gives the viewer a 3D type of effect making the images pop out of the artwork and making them look more alive.
I print my wall art on the back of acrylic pieces. I cut out the artwork into shapes and forms. I then place the art pieces on top of each other with a little bit of air between - this gives natural shadows to the artwork. My wall sculptures below have all been designed on the computer and by hand in digitale and physical layers. It is a very long and expensive process but the out come is super cool and exclusive. My wall sculptures are ready to hang.
Here you can see what I mean - when I say - that I cut out my artwork. I literally cut my art into pieces by using a laser cutting machine and then I put them back together with a little bit of air between:
Every wall sculpture is unique and is part of my limited editions. The artwork is signed and numbered - an art certificate comes with each wall sculpture.
